Catlantis

Designer: Prospero Hall
Publisher: Ravensburger Games

Catlantis was the little game that could. It started as a silly title, and a rough photo collage box I’d created to match that silly title. The game play itself went through several very distinctive iterations before we found a publisher for a simple -but entertaining- “I pick, you choose” card drafting game. Making the entire deck of cats be shiny foil cards was only the cherry on top. I’ll always have a soft spot for this silly, little game. As a Product Designer on this game, my contributions included:

  • Designing the color scheme, iconography and typography system.

  • Developing the unique photo collage style and working with a photo-realistic illustrator to execute it.

  • Graphic design for the packaging, instructions, cards and tokens.

  • Designing the wooden “merecat” meeples.
