Home Alone card game
Designer: Prospero Hall

Often, when working with television and movie licenses, it’s difficult to also get the likenesses for the actors and actresses involved in the show or film. In many of those cases, it feels like a frustrating limitation; but in the Home Alone card game, it felt more like an opportunity. Instead of using actual images from the movie, we leaned into the “ugly Christmas sweater” motif, and created something that was both uniquely its own and also still managed to feel perfectly matched to the tone of Home Alone the movie.
As a Product Designer on this game, my contributions included:
Developing and implementing the “ugly Christmas sweater” style.
Designing the color scheme and iconography.
Graphic design and illustrations on the packaging, cards, player board and instructions.
Home Alone game components.
